Esta canción ha sido creada como homenaje a Paul Walker , quien murió en un accidente automovilístico el 30 de noviembre de 2013 .

La canción de ‘’See You Again’’ forma parte de la banda sonora de la película ‘’Furious 7’’ y está hecha en homenaje a uno de los actores fallecidos (Paul Walker).
Al principio , Charlie Puth y otros 50 compositores que fueron llamados por el sello de ‘’Atlantic Records’’ se les pidió que presentasen sugerencias para la banda sonora que acompañaría a la película.
Puth se emocionó al escribir la canción por el incidente de su amigo.
Al escribir la canción, recordó a un amigo suyo que también murió en un accidente de coche. Cuando a Puth le preguntaron sobre eso , el no quiso dar muchos detalles y , lo único que dijo fue que sintió la presencia de su difunto amigo en el estudio ese día mientras sostenía la creencia de que algún día podrían comunicarse de nuevo.
En una entrevista con el ‘’diario de Los Ángeles’’ , Puth recordó lo que le ocurrió para empezar la letra de la banda sonora para ‘’Atlantics Records’’ para enviársela: "Se me ocurrió a partir de la nada y, básicamente, en 10 minutos más tarde Justin y yo lo escribimos,lo enviamos ,y pensé que nunca habíamos oído de él otra vez. "
Al final , ‘’Atlantics Records’’ escogió a tres escritores para la canción que fueron :DJ Frank E, Charlie Puth, Cameron Thomaz y escogió a 2 cantantes para la canción : Charlie Puth y Cameron Thomaz.

Análisis de la canción
-La canción tiene un ritmo libre ya que no sigue un ritmo constante .
-Es una canción de dúo , en el que aparecen Wiz Khalifa y Charlie Puth.
-En esta canción , para el acompañamiento musical , se utilizaron : Piano , batería , platillos y contrabajo.
-Es una canción de melodía acompañada ya que está acompañada por una línea melódica principal que es acompañada por voces e instrumentos .
-Al hacer homenaje a la muerte de Paul Walker con una letra un poco triste es una canción muy emotiva , sentimental y triste.
-Creo que es de un estilo melismático.
